Sheri A. Lane is a Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in Gig Harbor, Washington.
With over three years experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University, she is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are pre-marital and couples counseling, working with adolescents and their parents on communication issues, and working with families on life transition challenges.
In addition to maintaining a private practice, Sheri also works as a Functional Family Therapist in Pierce County working with troubled youth and their families.
Sheri's approach is influenced by narrative, emotionally focused, and structural family therapy. Sheri offers her clients support and guidance as they gain insight on patterns of interaction and discover new ways of being in relationship with others. She believes that all clients want to be their best, but sometimes just need a little help to overcome barriers that get in their way of ultimately reaching their greatest potential. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
